Today, Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most popular and highest paid actors of the industry and has been a heartthrob for many girls. He has seen his share of ups and downs in his career as an actor. From having debuted with a flop film to now starring in big budget films and being the most sought actor, Ranbir has come a long way. Here are Ranbir Kapoor’s films which incredibly tanked at the box office–
Jagga Jasoos (2017)
Ranbir Kapoor seems to be director Anurag Basu’s favourite. The film was a mystery comedy film with a nice story line which showed an adopted teenager who also is a little mentally challenged, in search of his detective father. The journey makes the boy realise that he is also good at being a detective. The movie was great and the action scenes featuring Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor were great too. The movie failed at the box office though and suffered a huge loss.
Bombay Velvet (2015)
Bombay Velvet was the most awaited film of the year that featured some of the biggest stars of Bollywood– Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma and Kay Kay Menon and Ranbir Kapoor. One could only imagine the potential that this star cast has, but the movie was declared a disaster at the box-office. The story is much better for the audiences now but at that time, it didn’t really click.
Tamasha (2015)
Imtiaz Ali is one of the most successful directors in Indian cinema. He is known to have directed many romantic films like Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal and Rockstar. Imtiaz came up with another love story where Ranbir Kapoor would play the role of a man who is fascinated by the stories recited by s roadside story teller and always forgets who he is. The movie didn’t really do magic Despite having Deepika Padukone on board and was declared a flop.
Ups and downs are a part of an actor’s life and we wish Ranbir all the best for his upcoming films.
