As the show Agga Bai Sasubai is nearing its end, Tejashri Pradhan aka Shubhra talks about her character and the importance of women for Women’s Day special segment with us. Tejashri has been playing Shubhra since 2019 and has decided to quit the show after the first season. A new Shubhra will be seen in the second instalment of the show called Aggabai Soonbai. Reliving Shubhra’s days, and the issues women face in real life as well, Tejashri shared her thoughts on the same.
On Shubhra
She said that she really applauds Shubhra for having overcome so many hurdles. She has faced so many problems after she married Soham and his behaviour and actions made things worse for her. When Soham made the wrong decisions or said the wrong things, she did not give up and she kept her cool and solved all the problems. Tejashri thinks that Shubhra’s patience and her sensible nature is the greatest thing about her and that is why she was able to cross all the road bumps in her story. What Tejashri likes about Shubhra is that she can be very straightforward and simple, but when needed, she is patient and intelligent.

On #ChooseToChallenge
Talking about this year’s theme, which is #ChooseToChallenge, Tejashri wants to ask each reader what their own challenges are or what things they consider to be challenging. She said that this Women’s day, we should take up this #ChooseToChallenge and do something that has always felt challenging to us. This could be anything that we have always feared or thought that we could not accomplish on our own! Not just to overcome the challenge but to also be full of strength and belief in oneself!
A message from Tejashri herself!
“As the years pass, I feel like you keep learning from your own experiences. I mean, from one’s own life’s incidents, we can learn a life lesson very well. And with this, we can bring out a change in ourselves. All you have to do is reflect on your behaviour in the day, every night before you go to bed. We should analyse what we did right and what we did wrong and try to not make those mistakes the next day. At the same time, just try and forgive yourself and be stronger for the next challenge, or responsibility. If you can do this, then things will go well. And for this, you have to believe in yourself!”

On #BreakingTheBarriers
She said, “This year, for Women’s Day, ZEE5 has come up with a great campaign called #BreakingThe Barriers which is a really good initiative. As I’ve said, you have to believe in yourself and break the barriers you make for yourself. The things that make you uncomfortable, the things that make you question whether you can do them, we should try to do these things again. On this day we should try to push ourselves to go one step ahead! So let’s break the barriers together!”
She added that everyone faces issues and barriers in their lives that they need to overcome and save themselves from. They must also learn their lessons and follows them for their whole lives. As a way to celebrate this Women’s Day and mark its importance, Tejashri thinks that we must try to right a wrong within ourselves and make an improved version of ourselves!
The actress is known to be breaking barriers herself every day as a successful woman in the entertainment industry! She knows what she’s talking about!
