Zee Marathi’s Shubhra from Aggabai Sunbai is an unhappy married woman. She is the only one in her marriage as her husband Soham, turns out to be materialistic and evil. He is having an affair with his assistant Suzanne and harbours ill feelings for his wife and takes her for granted. Both their marriages started off strong but ended with unfaithfulness

Shubhra and Soham were college friends and their love story was sweet and adorable. They were married for eight years when Shubhra found out about Soham’s affair and her whole world changed. Soham cheated on her with Suzanne his assistant, and someone Shubhra had started to think of as a friend. In Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti too, Shubhra and Kuldeep too had a love marriage and were married for 10 years before Samaira entered Kuldeep’s life.

They are great mothers

Aggabai Sunbai’s Shubhra is a mother of one and he’s a naughty but sweet child, Shubham. Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti’s Shubhra is a mother of two, Rishi and Roli who are the sweetest kids and they help their mother a lot. Both Shubhras are doting mothers and their raison d’etre are their kids! They cannot stand anything wrong happening to their children and become strong and powerful mothers if something happens.

They are both becoming independent women

Aggabai Sunbai’s Shubhra recently started a tailoring business and is now always seen stuck to her sewing machine. She is great at what she does and is also very creative. Asawari has been praising her time and again too! Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti’s Shubhra also started a jewellery business that has become famous and this has helped her gain confidence and become stronger. Both these characters were previously housewives and devoted to their husbands. Now their worlds are widening as they are giving up on their marriages and choosing life!

Soham is extremely selfish, arrogant and materialistic. He cannot wait for Asawari to step down from her CEO position at DBK foods so that he can take over and be the head of the family as well as the company. He likes Suzanne because she is ambitious and understands his evil self well. Kuldeep is a bit more humane as a character and is just materialistic. His biggest mistake is choosing money and power instead of family and love. He is now understanding how all things glitter is not gold!

They have supportive in-laws

Aggabai Sunbai’s Shubhra is treated as a daughter in the Kulkarni house, mainly by her in-laws, Asawari and Abhijit. They love her like her own and worry about her well-being. They both time and again have supported her and motivated her to do better. They are Shubhra’s backbone and the reason why she still stands tall in the house! Abhijit even knows about Soham’s affair and has promised to support her! Meanwhile, Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti’s Shubhra too has Chandrani, Kuldeep’s mother who might not have given up on Kuldeep-Shubhra’s marriage but she still supports Shubhra all the time and helps her fight Samaira too!
