Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2021: A Quick Look At The Complete Winners List

Bollywood is known for being the third-largest film industry of all time. And the Dadasaheb Phalke Award is considered to be of the highest rank of awards when it comes to Indian cinema. This year’s Dadasaheb Phalke Awards took place on February 20 2021, which countless talented and eminent Indian film actors and actresses attended and became recipients of accolades too.

Numerous prominent film personalities were present at the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2021 and several of them were honoured with awards under various categories. Sushant Singh Rajput, who died by suicide last year, was awarded the Critics Best Actor Award and received massive appreciation as well. While Akshay Kumar was awarded the Best Actor Award for his work in Laxmmi, Deepika Padukone received the Best Actress Award for Chhapaak. Critics Best Actress Award was presented to Kiara Advani for her role in Guilty. The popular web-series Scam 1992 was awarded the Best Web-Series Award. Anurag Basu won the Best Director Award for his film Ludo. While Kunal Kemmu bagged the Best Comic Role Award, Bobby Deol bagged the Best Actor for Web Series for his work in Aashram.

The Best Film Award went to the popular historical drama film Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior. Vikrant Massey won the Best Supporting Actor Award for his work in the film Chhapaak while Radhika Madan bagged it for her film Angrezi Medium. The Best International Feature Film Award was given to Parasite while Nora Fatehi won the Best Performer of The Year Award. And it is already a known fact that Kaykay Menon bagged the Best Versatile Actor Award this year. Outstanding Contribution to Literature in Indian Cinema Award was won by Chetan Bhagat for his novels that several films have been made on. Dadasaheb Phalke is known for being the father of Indian cinema and each year, there is a notable film festival hosted under his name. The same happened this year wherein countless notable people from the film fraternity received awards for their brilliant performances in various films that released in the year 2020.
