Bollywood lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar is celebrating his birthday together. On his special day, he is receiving lots of love from the fans and audience. As Javed Akhtar has turned a year older today, January 17, let us tell you that he was attracted to his now-wife Shabana Azmi right from the time when they didn’t know each other. Now, it has been more than 30 years that the two are living a happy life together.

In an interview with a leading daily, Javed Akhtar said that much before he told it to himself, he was really fascinated by Shabana Azmi. He really doesn’t know the reason for it. The lyricist also said that even when he didn’t know much about Shabana, he was getting attracted to her. He added that there was something about her that was always fascinating him. Further, Javed Akhtar said that it is very difficult for him to decide what was the precise moment when he fell in love with Shabana Azmi. He can’t think of a time when he knew this name, he knew this person, even remotely, and he was not attracted to her.

Even Shabana Azmi opened up about her bond with Javed Akhtar. She said that quite soon after she got to know Javed. In the beginning, she used to laugh as he used to crack up and soon she began to enjoy his company. Shabana finds Javed Akhtar very stimulating and most intelligent man. All this consequently led into love for him and they ended up marrying each other. For an unversed, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi tied the knot together in the year 1984.
