We all know that Kunal Jaisingh is a charismatic and trailblazing TV star who has many hit serials to his credits right from The Buddy Project, Ishqbaaaz, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, Pavitra Bhagya, and Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye. In an exclusive interview with us, he fondly reminiscences his childhood memories related to the festival of lights Diwali and much more.
When asked about his plans of ringing in Diwali this year, Kunal said, “My Diwali was very special. I celebrated it with my wife and Dad. It was a small family function. Me and my wife Bharti did everything all together. From decorating our house to cooking festive food. We did a small puja. The festival was quite refreshing for us”.
Talking about the nostalgic childhood Diwali memories that he would like to share with us, Kunal shares, “I always helped my mother during the festival. She used to make my favorites. I miss her during festivals. Also as a kid, I always used to make Diwali cards for my parents. I remember it was Diwali only when my dad gifted me a camera. And I started getting passionate about photography”.
When questioned about a cherishable Diwali memory that is closest to his heart even today, Kunal added, “Diwali celebrations were always a family celebration. I remember my parents used to take me where we all enjoyed the lights while driving. Also, we used to gift Diwali boxes to people around the signals. We used to offer puja during mid-night.. and that was the only day I could stay awake for so long, else my mom used to make me sleep a bit early always”.
When asked about what is his take on fans showering him with loads of love on social media and his Diwali wish for them, in his reply to this Kunal stated, “I wish them a very happy and prosperous Diwali. I just wish we celebrate a pollution-free Diwali. We stay more grounded and try making the festival happy and special for everyone. And most importantly we care to stay concerned about animals”.
When asked that would his fans get to see him in an exciting new project post the pandemic subsiding now, in his response Kunal said, “Yes, I never took a break because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. I knew the consequences of working while the covid-19 virus was spreading. but still, I was working. I was doing Pavitra Bhagya just when it started. and after the first lockdown, it went off-air. Just after that, I did KUDCA, in fact when in Mumbai we were shooting in another city as the situation here was worse. soo me not on screen has nothing to do with covid. It is just I’m waiting for the kind of role I want to do.. and I will be back very soon”.
Finally, when quipped about how soon can his fans see him making a comeback on TV, on this, Kunal signed off by saying, “As I said very soon”.
