From Nail Polish To Teri Meri Ek Jindri – A Look At ZEE5’s January 2021 Releases And What You Can Expect From Them

The year 2020 turned out to be a bad experience for all of us but we learned to be a pro in making good out of the bad times, and in this difficult time we turned to our favourite movies and TV shows for our entertainment. ZEE5’s wide-ranging library filled with exciting shows and movies kept us glued to the screens and we are already thankful to such platforms who made our 2020 very special.

And while we are still getting over the ‘feel-good’ experience from interesting concepts we saw in 2020, ZEE5 has lined up a range of new and interesting movies/TV shows coming our way with #Atrangi2021.

Here’s everything lying in store for us ahead…

Nail Polish

Featuring Arjun Rampal as a lawyer, Nail Polish is a courtroom drama which is set against a murder trial where the past stories and the court proceedings are weaved perfectly. The character will play a vital part in the story and the mystery will leave the audience guessing till the very end. Talking about his preparations for the role, Rampal revealed that he took mannerisms and characteristics from one of his uncles who’s a renowned lawyer. The film is set to premiere on January 1, 2021 and will also mark the actor’s 20th year in the film industry.

Kaagaz

Written and Directed by Satish Kaushik, Kaagaz features Pankaj Tripathi in the lead role. The film is inspired by the true story of Lal Bihari Mritak, a man who struggled to prove that he is alive after he was declared dead in the land revenue records of Uttar Pradesh. The trailer already received a great response from the audience and is set to premiere on January 7, exclusively on ZEE5.

Teri Meri Ek Jindri

Set in Punjab, Teri Meri Jindri is an upcoming show on Zee TV which will be exclusively available on ZEE5. The show is a feel good love story exploring modern age romance set in the countryside India. Ankit Raizada and Amandeep Sidhu will play the lead roles in the show and the makers are yet to decide on the release date.

Yeu Kashi Tashi Me Nandayla

Starring veteran star Shubhangi Gokhale and actress Anvita Phaltankar in the lead roles, the upcoming Zee Marathi show will be premiering on January 4. The show will highlight a beautiful bond of a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law which has been ruined by typical TV dramas. This norm-breaking show has already created a buzz among the masses.

Zidd

Actor Amit Sadh will be essaying a character of an army veteran who has lost mobility in the lower half of his body in the upcoming web-series titled Zidd. A survival drama that will surely be an interesting and inspiring watch for the viewers. The trailer of the series is all set to release tomorrow (Dec 29th). The series also stars Amrita Puri and Sushant Singh. Zidd will release in January.

Welcoming the new year with these upcoming projects is altogether a great blend of drama and thrill and it will surely keep us entertained throughout the month of January.
