Actress Karisma Kapoor was recently at a press conference for Lakme Fashion Week and spilled quite a few beans about her take on fashion. She also talked about her sister Kareena, and how they often share fashion advice. She was donning a stunning black saree for the press conference and looked quite lovely.

While speaking about fashion week, she said, “It is always a pleasure to come back to Lakme Fashion Week, it feels wonderful. Year after year we come and see such talent out there. All the young designers are doing such fantastic work. So, when we artists get to walk the ramp and wear such good creations…it feels really special and wonderful.”
While talking about her saree, she said that it is really fun and glamorous. “I am feeling really festive and fun wearing this outfit.” She also opened up about her experience while walking down a ramp. She said that she feels nervous before walking, however, the nervousness goes away once she starts.

She also said that while growing up, Kareena Kapoor and her took inspiration from each other. They even talked about fashion with their mother and cousins. “That is always the case with two siblings, especially two sisters. You’ll always discuss clothes and fashion..”
When asked about a personal style statement, Karisma mentioned that she is very classic and sophisticated. “I like classic looks. I am not very boho and funky. I like wearing them but yeah, that (classic) is my personal taste…”
She also shared an anecdote about wearing a saree for the first time. She jokingly said that it’s been too long for her to even remember. “I think it would have been during my first or second film in the 90s. After that, I learnt quite quickly ..I was an expert by the time I did Biwi No. 1…then I got used to dancing in a saree at a very young age. I think it is our Indian dress which we should be very proud of…It is always a pleasure to wear a saree..”
