Merry Christmas: Katrina Kaif And Vijay Sethupathi Starrer’s Shoot Gets Cancelled – Deets Inside

Katrina Kaif is the leading actress in the Bollywood industry who recently got married to Vicky Kaushal. After her marriage, she announced that she will be collaborating with Sriram Raghavan. She will be co-starring with Vijay Sethupathi in the upcoming film titled Merry Christmas. Now, there is an update about the shooting of the film.

As we all know that there is a tremendous increase in the effect of COVID-19. Not only this but there is an addition of the new variant of the virus named Omicron. Due to this, various filmmakers are postponing the date of release of their films. But, Katrina Kaif starrer films shooting has been directly cancelled to avoid the spread of the fatal virus.

Reportedly, the team of Merry Christmas was all set to travel to Delhi for the shoot of the film in the first month of the year. In case you don’t know, they have already begun the shooting and have shot the first schedule in Mumbai. But, now, the makers have called up the decision to hold on to the shooting of the film until the situation in the world becomes favourable for them to resume the shoots.

However, there are multiple other films for which the release has been postponed. A few among them are Alia Bhatt starrer RRR, Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam, Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur’s Jersey, and also Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar’s Prithviraj has been pushed to next release dates for the same reason.

Meanwhile, on Katrina Kaif’s work front, she will be seen opposite Salman Khan in the third installment of the Tiger franchise. She also has Jee Le Zaraa directed by Farhan Akhtar in her kitty. Apart from this, Katrina also has Phone Bhoot in her pipeline. The film also stars Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead role apart from the actress.
