While being a mother already comes with various challenges, being a single mother to a child can be even tougher. However, some of our favourite Bengali actresses like Swastika Mukherjee, Priyanka Sarkar, Konkona Sensharma have set very inspiring examples with their single motherhood. Not only have these brilliant actresses fulfilled their role of mothers incredibly well, but they have also simultaneously killed it in their professional lives!

1. Swastika Mukherjee

Swastika Mukherjee is a doting mother to a 21-year-old daughter, Anwesha. The Shaheb Bibi Golaam actress welcomed Anwesha into this world, from her marriage to Pramit Sen, which did not end well. While raising little Anwesha to be the elegant young lady that she is now, Swastika succeeded at both, art and commercial films, as an actress. Given the adorable bond that they share, it would be wrong to not call this mother-daughter duo best friends!

2. Priyanka Sarkar

Priyanka Sarkar has an adorable eight-year-old son named Shohoj Banerjee from her marriage to actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee. With their much-talked-about marriage ending in a divorce, Priyanka stepped up and took up all of Shohoj’s responsibilities. A single mother, Priyanka has done and continues to do a great job at raising her child single-handedly while flourishing as an actress. She is also seen sharing tiny little clips and snaps of her precious moments with the sweet little Shohoj, on her social media!

3. June Malia

Popular Actress June Malia has two children, Shivangi and Shibendra, from her past marriage that wasn’t quite a happy one. Following June’s divorce from their father, the Bengali diva single-handedly raised both of her kids while stealing people’s hearts with her impressive performances in the film and television industry. Only in 2019, after her children were grown up enough, did she marry her long-time boyfriend Sourav Chatterjee.

4. Konkona Sensharma

Actress Konkona Sensharma has a young little son named Haroon Shorey from her past marriage to Ranvir Shorey. Following their divorce, the actress turned single-mother to Haroon while continuing to excel at her professional front still. Occasionally, Konkona gives us a glimpse of her life with Haroon, and it is the sweetest thing to witness!
