Actor Naseeruddin Shah was admitted to the P.D. Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre in Mumbai last week. Now, he has been discharged from the hospital and is fine. As per a leading daily, his wife said that he was admitted after a ‘patch of pneumonia’ was found in his lungs. His son, Vivaan Shah, took to Instagram to share that his father is back and is doing okay.

Vivaan Shah uploaded a series of pictures of his on Instagram story, writing that his father is back home after getting discharged from the hospital. He wrote, “back home” in one story, and “he just got discharged from hospital” in another story. In the picture, Naseeruddin Shah can be seen standing next to his bed wearing a simple orange T-shirt along with a pair of simple white pants.

Even his wife and Vivaan Shah’s mother, Ratna Pathak Shah can be spotted in the pictures. She is wearing a simple green Kurti with floral white prints on it.
Last month, Naseeruddin Shah’s manager spoke to a leading daily about his health. He reportedly said, “Sir was hospitalised on June 29, but he is now doing well. There is a pneumonia patch on his lungs, and the treatment is going on. He might be discharged today or tomorrow.”

As per the daily, the actor was responding well to the treatment at the hospital. He was stable, under observation, taking medication and doing absolutely fine.
Last year, there were rumours about his ill health. However, his son took to social media to dismiss the rumours. He said that “All well everyone! Baba’s just fine. All the rumours about his health are fake. He’s keeping well.”
