Only a Special Birthday will get you The Rock, Dwayne Johnson singing

There was an era when The Rock, Dwayne Johnson was known for being the ferocious fighter in the ring. Then we were introduced to Dwayne Johnson, the actor in the comedy series who used his big and toned body to tickle the audiences’ funny bone. And now we have the singer and adorable grandson Dwayne Johnson singing a Birthday song for someone special. 

The Special Occasion

The actor shared a tweet recently celebrating the 102nd Birthday of his grandmother, whom he refers to as Grandma Grover. The special video clip showed the Jungle Cruise actor singing happy birthday to his grandmother, who in a touching gesture sang the song back. 

When she turned 100, I started singing Happy Birthday to Grandma Grover. Today she’s 102 years old 🎂 🎉 and this has become one of myFAVORITE things to do. And she sang back to me!! 🎶☺️

In the caption accompanying the video, Dwayne Johnson mentioned how this song singing ritual has been started by him at his grandmother’s 100th Birthday. And now in this second edition of the event his grandmother sang it back to him.

A Good Year 

The video shows us how good an year the Johnson family has had. In terms of Dwayne Johnson’s acting career, it has been even more wonderful. The actor got to debut his series, Young Rock. His movie with Emily Blunt, The Jungle Cruise, opened to positive reception at the box office and might get a sequel in the coming months.

A Better Future

One can only hope that the coming years are good for everyone involved as the pandemic is just getting over. Dwayne Johnson will gift his grandmother another Happy Birthday song. And he will gift the fans with many more projects including, a series opposite Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot namely, Red Notice. 

One can also hope for a singing project or another comedy musical from the star as his rendition in the birthday video reminds us. That would be a great present for the fans.
