A Marathi movie, Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha, was launched yesterday, January 14. Kashmera Shah’s scene has got the film into legal trouble

Viewers generally opt to watch movies with bold content and intimate scenes. In the past years, we have seen that such content sells and so filmmakers try to incorporate it in their scripts. Due to the surge in Covid 19 cases, the cinema is not in a good condition. Many filmmakers have been avoiding the theatre release of their films in the current situation.

To their delight, a Marathi movie, Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha, was launched yesterday, January 14, and did exceptionally well at the box office. The existence of this picture, helmed by Mahesh V Manjrekar, was unknown to many until just ten days ago. However, after the movie’s teaser came out earlier this week, fans were drawn to the intimate images and aggressive content.

After obtaining a petition from the Bharatiya Stree Shakti, the National Commission For Women (NCW) objected on 12th January. The scenes featuring ladies and a little boy in inappropriate circumstances infuriated the organization.

It has recently been revealed that a handful of sequences from Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha were cut soon before the movie’s premiere due to backlash from the NCW.
The film’s creators eliminated a few graphics. Kashmera Shah is shown in the teaser dragging Prem Dharmadhikari, a child star, closer to her.

This scene, along with one in which Prem Dharmadhikari mutilates a person, was omitted from the final version of the movie. A few additional shots were also clipped. Curiously, after the objection, the cinematic video was also taken down.
The film’s creators promptly began dispatching the copies after deleting the scenes. The corrected prints could not have been supplied on time in a few minor towns in Maharashtra.

As a result, on the first day, a few early and noon shows were scrapped. Although many tickets were sold, the manufacturers were forced to provide refunds.

Meanwhile, the picture received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) last week. “Around 9 edits and adjustments were conducted based on the directions of the CBFC,” a source claimed.
