Countless people had to leave their homes behind and move to other places during the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947. People who once resided in the areas that are now a part of the Pakistani lands had to sell off their homes before moving away just like notable Indian actors Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor had to. And now, Pakistani officials have confirmed that they will be converting their ancestral homes into museums.

The Pakistani government officials have taken a significantly major decision regarding a matter related to some of the most popular and legendary Indian actors. Popular Bollywood actors of their time, Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar have ancestral homes which are currently located in the city of Peshawar, which is in Pakistan. And talks of the Pakistani government taking over the ownership of these houses had been making the rounds for a while. However, it was also heard that the current owners of these houses were willing to sell them off only at a massively high price.

However, the nation recently declared that they will now be legally taking over the ownership of these houses. Further, they also announced that both Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar’s ancestral homes will be converted into museums. Both actors are some of the most popular faces of Hindi cinema and are deemed to be true legends in their acting careers. An interesting fact about Raj Kapoor’s ancestral house in Peshawar is that it was originally made by his father, Prithviraj Kapoor, another great Indian thespian. While Raj Kapoor’s house was being bid for 200-crores by its latest owners, Dilip Kumar’s was estimated at a whopping 25 crores.
