Puri Jagannadh celebrates birthday with Vijay Deverakonda and Liger team, cuts a Mike Tyson cake

Puri Jagannadh, one of India’s most accomplished and innovative filmmakers, recently celebrated his 55th birthday. The filmmaker is presently filming Liger in Goa, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in the lead. Puri Jagannadh’s production house shared many photographs on Instagram of him celebrating his birthday on the set of the film.

Puri Jagannadh is the writer and director of the sports action film, which is produced by Dharma Productions and Puri Connects. Liger is being shot in Hindi and Telugu at the same time, and will later be dubbed in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. According to recent reports, this pan-India movie is going to be one of the biggest movies to date with power-packed action.  

What got the audience more pumped up is that the film Liger is going to be the boxing legend Mike Tyson’s debut movie in the Indian cinema industry. With a special movie like this and an even more special cast, the production team made sure to wish the director, Puri Jagannath, in a special way on his birthday.

Puri Jagannath was seen cutting a cake with veteran actress and producer Charmme Kaur and his Liger starring man, Vijay Deverakonda, in a series of photos shared on social media by the team. A birthday cake bearing the portrait of Mike Tyson can also be spotted in one of the team’s photos. Liger’s producers are working hard to make Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey’s film stand out by welcoming Mike Tyson to the team.

‘Liger’ was supposed to get a worldwide theatrical release on September 9 in five languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam – but it was postponed owing to an increase in COVID-19 cases at the time.

In addition to the Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, Liger also features Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Makarand Deshpande, and Getup Srinu in supporting roles. Sunil Shetty is said to play Vijay Deverakonda’s father in a flashback scene, according to reports. The fans can’t seem to contain their excitement with such big surprises dropping in, with respect to the movie.
