The actor’s iconic film, Dushman which also starred featured Meena Kumari and Mumtaz in the lead roles as well. Film author Chaitanya Padukone has made some remarks on the film that will surely send you in a tizzy. Mentioning to a leading publication the author said that Kishore Kumar had initially refused to sing the song, Vaada Tera Vaada which was a chartbuster song and a huge hit since it’s inception.
The film, Dushman had also received a soaring score from Laxmikant Pyarelal and by conveying the message of Kishore Kumar, the author said that the veteran singer, Kishore Kumar felt that the song’s time is more suited for Mohammed Rafi saab’s voice. Also, superstar Rajesh Khanna himself had tried to convince Kishore Kumar to sing the song but it was music composer Laxmikant Pyarelal who convienced the singer to sing the song because if he would not sing it then they would hamper with it
It’s melody and a good, well-written song would go to vain.
Ultimately the song, Vaada Tera Vaada which was written by Anand Bakshi was a huge hit and to date the song is loved by us all. Chaitanya Padukone revealed that Rajesh Khanna had received a lot of love and appreciation from all the audiences for his song and the romantic track was very well recently amongst the masses. The actor had also portrayed his acting skills in many of his films and he was amongst the best, perpectully.
