Simmba was the most loved film directed by Rohit Shetty that starred Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan. The film showed the Bollywood actor in the role of a police officer named Sangram Bhalerao and the young actress played the role of his lover. Simmba was loved by the fans and now the audience is waiting for the sequel of the film.
In an interaction with the leading daily, Ranveer Singh said that Simmba was always planned to be a franchise and he is forever ready to play his favourite character again for the sequel of the film. He also spoke about the upcoming films that are in his kitty. While speaking about it, the actor uttered that he has 5 biopics in his kitty and all are in different stages of development. He also said that one of the many scripts will grow into an incredible one and the audience will hear an official announcement in the coming days.
We also saw Ranveer Singh reprising the role of Sangram Bhalerao from Simmba in the recent cop-universe film Sooryavanshi. It was also directed by Rohit Shetty only and starred Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead role. Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer Singh also has multiple films in the pipeline.

Ranveer Singh was currently shooting for the film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film is directed by Karan Johar and will also star Alia Bhatt in the lead role. They were shooting for the film in New Delhi before the increase in the cases of COVID-19. Apart from this, Ranveer also has Jayeshbhai Jordar in his kitty. Before they start with the film Simmba 2, the actor Ranveer Singh and director Rohit Shetty have one other film together. They will work in the film Cirkus that will also star Pooja Hegde in the lead role.
