In the sixth episode of the ZEE5 Original Series Karkat Rogue, The Old Doctor, both Ravikant (played by Rajesh Sharma) and Beas (played by Chitrangada Satarupa) try meeting the last surviving patient — Mr Patel. However, they are unable to catch up with him and the assassin kills him. After Ravikant finds out from his sources that 17 people in the list are already dead, he and Beas visit the family of one victim, Krishna. They talk to her mother-in-law who tells them about their economic condition and their life post Krishna’s death. Beas enquires about her treatment and she informs them that a special facility was set up in NHRC. They come to know that Dr Sengupta was the one who led this special treatment along with Ravikant’s wife, Indu. Both Beas and Ravikant are puzzled by this discovery and assure her of Krishna’s daughter Priya’s future.

Barun (played by Indraneil Sengupta) speaks to a mysterious person and informs about how Beas knows everything. He updates about the whole situation and assures the person that he will take care of Beas and he doesn’t need to worry about her.

Beas tries to contact Mr Patel, the only survivor, but she learns that he has been killed. This shocks her and increases her curiosity about the cases. She goes to meet Dr Sengupta and baits him into meeting her with her emotional condition as a cancer survivor. She shows him the list of patients and asks about them. However, he denies his involvement clearly. But Beas and Ravikant speak about the proof they collected, which angers Dr Sengupta who asks them to leave. He asks her to focus on her health. Beas, however, enquires about Dr Patel’s death to Siddartho and asks him to find information.

After Dr Sengupta learns about the actor’s interview in the newspaper, he calls Payal to find out about her condition. She informs him that his treatment was a success and the medicine cured her completely.

Beas speaks to Siddartho and learns that Dr Patel’s death wasn’t a suicide and he too had lymphoma. Siddartho scolds her and tells this mystery is creating a problem between her and her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Dr Sengupta packs his bag to escape.

Beas speaks to her boyfriend and voices her doubts. He gets afraid about her pursuit and asks her to be careful. He tells Beas that he is with her. She meets Siddartho the next day and informs him that a drug trial is going on. He points her in the direction of their teacher who may know about this. She takes his lead and meets her old professor. She enquires about the drug trials and he shows her the different things that happen during a drug trial. Beas finds out from him that Dr Sengupta was performing a drug trial on blood cancer patients which turned into a failure. He points her to Nivedita Roy, who is the in-charge of all drug trials. Ravikant then visits Nivedita while Beas goes to meet the head of NHRC.

Ravikant goes to the State Drug Trial Board to meet Nivedita who is in a meeting, while Beas tries to talk to the same person Ravikant tried to talk earlier but then he completely denies talking about anything. Beas understands the situation and asks her friend to hack into the system to know more about the drug trials. Ravikant is also unable to meet Nivedita. Meanwhile, Beas and her boyfriend make a movie plan but are attacked by a mysterious car which knocks them down while they are on their way.
