Bollywood’s Bhaijaan, Salman Khan‘s sister, Arpita Khan Sharma recently jetted off to Dubai with her friends for a break. Looked like she had lots of fun in the UAE and a video of her enjoying at a restaurant went viral. However, in the clip, Sharma was seen smashing plates with her friend. Not only this, her son, Ahil, was also seen doing the same. Is it said that people smash the plates in anger to ward off evil, that happened during the ancient Greek custom. While Arpita was all happy doing the same, her video did not go down well with some netizens.

In the latter part of the video, Arpita was excited as she went on to pick up a new set of plates with a big smile. Later, she was accompanied by other women and several people who were at the restaurant. She also danced to the tunes of her husband Ayush Sharma’s song Chogada from the film Loveyatri. As the video flared all over social media, a user wrote, “Wastage of anything is bad,” wheres another went on to call her “shameless.” Another tweet read, “When we need recycling, Bollywood sister does the breaking plates custom of Greeks, only Gyaan for Hindu festival.” While many agreed that it’s a Greek custom, many called out Arpita for her gesture.

Arpita Khan’s husband, Aayush, made his debut in Bollywood with his appearance in the movie, Loveyatri, backed by Salman. The cast of the film includes Warina Hussain and the director of the movie is Abhiraj Minawala. Recently, Arpita penned a lengthy note for Aayush on the occasion of their wedding anniversary. She wrote, “From being my friend to being my husband, I cherish the journey we decide to pave together. I am glad we gambled our lives to each other 6 years back. Happy Anniversary my love. For the first time, we are not celebrating together but I am so happy you’re doing what you love doing best. To many more year of togetherness, happiness, gossip, fights, differences & …………….. I MISS YOU & LOVE YOU.” Priyanka was one of the firsts to wish them.
