Amid the ongoing pandemic, many renowned celebrities are stepping in to extend their support for Covid affected families. In a similar instance, Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam joined a relief camp to provide foodgrains to citizens in distress. The initiative was led by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s (MNS) Bala Nandgaonkar in association with a non-profit organization. And Sonu teamed up to uplift everyone’s spirit during these difficult times as he interacted with people in some fun-filled sessions.
The relief camp not only aimed at helping the virus-infected patients but also to those needy citizens, indirectly affected by Covid. While the campaign was led by MNS’ Bala Nandgaonkar, singer Sonu Nigam actively participated in entertaining the citizens. He was seen tuning to some of his hit Bollywood songs which included ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ resembling hope. Apart from this, Sonu also distributed food grains as a part of the Covid relief project.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Sonu shared a glimpse from the camp. He was also seen interacting with the media, sharing the insights of the food grain distribution program. “I had the good fortune to be at Lalbaug yesterday, distributing food to our fellow people, in association with Eklavya Foundation & MNS,” Sonu captioned the post. Netizens were impressed by this as they went on to appreciate the singer for his initiative.
Well, this is not the first time Sonu joined in a good cause amid this pandemic. A few months ago, he teamed up with golfer Krishiv Teckchandani to provide mobile oxygen supplies for critical Covid patients. These portable oxygen canisters were installed in ambulances all across the city. Earlier last month, Sonu also inaugurated a blood donation camp in Mumbai as he urged youngsters to donate blood.
