Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Ghanshyam Nayak Aka Nattu Kaka Forgot His Own Name In Last Days; His Son Reveals Sad Details

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah lost its yet another actor, Ghanshyam Nayak. He used to play the role of Nattu kaka in the popular comedy sitcom. Nayak left for a heavenly abode on October 3. He took his last breath after battling cancer for the past several years. The news of his death was shared by the producer of the show, Asit Kumar Modi. Nattu kaka’s last rites were attended by the other co-stars in TMKOC like Dilip Joshi, Munmun Dutta, Bhavya Gandhi and others.

Now, Ghanshyam Nayak’s son, Vikas Nayak has opened up about his late father. While talking to a leading daily Vikas said that he underwent cancer surgery last year and started shooting for the comedy show in June this year. But later his health started to deteriorate and it didn’t allow him to shoot further. Vikas said that towards the last few days, his dad had difficulty in breathing and they tried to arrange for oxygen and nurses at home.

Vikas also said that unfortunately, he slipped further and then they rushed him to the hospital. He had to be admitted to the ICU, then was moved into a room as he got a bit better but again had to be sent back to the ICU as the condition deteriorated yet again.15 days prior to his demise, his sugar had shot up to alarming heights and he wasn’t recognising anybody. After the sugar level went down, he knew who was around him.

Vikas Nayak further went on to reveal that the day prior to his death, Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka asked him about his identity and that’s when they realised that he has started going into the other world.

Ghanshyam Nayak had earlier expressed his wish to die with makeup on. His son even fulfilled his last wish and talking about it Vikas said that they had called a professional makeup artist to do makeup on his face when he passed away as he wanted to die with his makeup on. There was immense peace on his face when his pulse stopped, Vikas concluded.
