Kumudini teaches Sarada to read and write and gets her Vidyasagar’s `Bornoporichoy’ alphabet book to read and a slate and chalk to practice writing the alphabets of the Bengali language. Sarada’s mother-in-law supports her but tells her to inform Gadadhar about it. Later, Sarada goes to meet Gadadhar at the temple and asks for his help in writing some of the alphabets. But Gadadhar tells her he can’t help her as he would avoid going to school. Sarada feels he is deliberately refusing to help her and leaves. Gadadhar wonders if he will now have to learn because of her and asks Ma Kali to help him get out of this situation. Next day, Kumudini gets ready to go to school. When Kumudini feels anxious about not knowing English and wonders how she will speak to her teachers or understand what they are saying, Jagadamba reassures her and says will soon get used to it.

When Dwarika tells Gadadhar that he has been tirelessly looking for Kumudini everywhere, Gadadhar tells him he will pray to Ma Jagadhatri so that he can see her. Dwarika then sees Kumudini’s feet and recognizes them. She runs away when he walks towards her, but he follows her into the jungle. Kumudini refuses to come before him as everyone is at the temple and he would be humiliated in front of everyone. She goes to the ghat and thinks of killing herself. However, Sarada stops her and tells her if the Divine Mother wants them to come together then nothing can prevent it from happening. Soon Dwarika reaches the ghat and hearing him call out her name, Kumudini runs away from there. Dwarika finds her anklet on the ghat’s steps and realizes she is alive. He tells her if she doesn’t come before him, he will enter the turbulent waters of the Ganga.

After meeting Dwarika and seeing how much he loves Kumudini, Rudreshwar realises that Nagen lied to him about Kumudini being abandoned by her husband. He decides not to help Nagen anymore. However, he doesn’t tell Dwarika that Nagen was the one who had brought Kumudini to him. Later, Dwarika goes to the temple and refuses to leave till he finds Kumudini. Sarada tells Kumudini about it and says they are destined to be together. She tells Kumudini to pray to Ma Jagadhatri who will take away all obstacles from their path. Dwarika waits for Gadadar to come out of the Kali mandir and asks his brothers to go home. Later, Kumudini sees him sitting on the ghat and gets him `bhog’ to eat. Dwarika is certain Kumudini got the `bhog’ for him and calls out to her as he eats the `bhog’.

Rudreshwar refuses to believe that Ma Kali is angry with him. He blames Gadadhar for plunging his prayer site into darkness. He tells Gadadhar that only if he succeeds in lighting up all the lamps will he be allowed to leave with Kumudini. Gadadhar tells him that Ma Kali is the very source of light in the universe and if she wants, she will light up all the lamps in an instant. He prays to Ma Kali to not just light up the prayer site but enlighten the minds of the believers who worship her here. After he completes his prayer, the lights of the prayer site light up. Then suddenly a fire encircles the Idol, and an angry Ma Kali appears. Rudreshwar is both frightened and awe struck to see Ma Kali in this form. But Gadadhar begs Ma Kali to return to her maternal benevolent form and not destroy everything. Ma Kali is pacified, and the raging fires disappear. Gadadhar takes an unconscious Kumudini to his house and tells Sarada and Hriday not to tell anyone that she is there.

Raghob gets a doctor to see Dwarika. The doctor gives him an injection to bring down his fever and make him conscious but warns that his depression could prove fatal. Later, Gadadhar prays to Ma Kali asks her to stop the injustice being done to Kumudini. When the lamps and the `yagna’ fire at Rudreshwar’s prayer site goes out, everyone is shocked. But Rudreshwar refuses to accept defeat and lights a camphor on the palm of his hand with his `mantra’. Gadadhar warns him that he will lose all his powers if he misuses them. But confident of abilities Rudreshwar tells Gadadhar he will light the lamps again with his powers and prove him wrong. This time however, his `mantras’ and rituals don’t work and the lamps don’t light up. Rudreshwar then challenges Gadadhar to light up the lamps.

Gadadhar performs Maa Durga’s Sandhi Puja aarti dressed as a woman. After the `aarti’ Dwarika and Trilokya have a fight about Gadadhar’s attire. Trilokya tells Dwarika to stop Gadadhar from doing such `sadhanas’ in future. Gadadhar tells him that it is not their place to judge a great `sadhak’ like Gadadhar and tells Trilokya to refrain from interfering in the temple’s affairs. Padma feels bad seeing the brothers fighting and speaks of their childhood days when they wore matching clothes. Hearing this, Kumudini gets an idea. She decides to crease the shirt sleeves of all the brothers with the gila fruit’s seeds so that the clothes match. She tells Dwarika not to fight with his brother over Gadadhar but also asks him to ensure Gadadhar is not thrown out of his house.

Nagen offers Rupmati Bai alcohol, but she refuses to drink and says she is not a courtesan singer and sings only devotional songs. When she begins her song, and her narration of Radha-Krishna’s story, Nagen’s guests get upset. Rupmati Bai hears Nagen’s name, realizes that he is not Dwarika, and wants to leave. However, Nagen’s men hold her captive. Nagen’s friends then go to Janbazzar to humiliate Dwarika’s family. But Ganesh recognizes them and tells Dwarika. Trilokya then tells Dwarika that his men saw a palanquin enter Nagen’s house at night. Dwarika is sure that Rupmati Bai is at Nagen’s place.

Rupmati Bai is picked up by Nagen and his men and taken to his house. Rupmati Bai thinks Nagen is Dwarika. Meanwhile, everyone at Janbazzar is wondering where Rupmati Bai is. They wonder whether they will find Rupmati Bai before the evening function in their house for which prominent guests have been invited. Meanwhile, Nagen plans to make her sing in his house before his guests who are eager to see a raunchy song and dance. Rupmati Bai tells him she does not perform this sort of song and dance.

A little boy who called Ram Lala meets Gadadhar at the temple and hugs him. He then plays a prank and opens Haran Thakur’s `dhoti’. However, no one other than Gadadhar can see him and everyone including Sarada thinks Gadadhar has gobe crazy. Later at the Radha-Krishna temple the boy appears again before Gadadhar and eats up the `payesh’ offered to the lord as `bhog’. Everyone is surprised when they see the empty bowl.

When Gadadhar expressed his desire to experience maternal love towards a deity, Ma Kali blessed him that he will soon experience it. Next day, an ascetic comes with an idol of Ram Lala to Gadadhar and says he wants milk for his child Ram Lala. Gadadhar is surprised to see him treat his idol of Ram Lala like a living child. Later, the idol of Ram Lala drinks up all the milk offered to him when Gadadhar affectionately requests him to drink it. Everyone is amazed to see this miracle. Ram Lala then refuses to leave the temple and Gadadhar asks the ascetic to stay there.
