Throwback To The Time When Nushrat Bharucha Broke The Internet As She Walked The Red Carpet In A Risque Dress

Nushrat Bharucha is known for her commendable acting skills and glamourous looks. She started her acting career with Pyaar Ka Punchnama. The movie was a commercial success and Bharucha was highly appreciated for her role. She enjoys a massive fan following on social media and fans love to witness her on-screen. On the occasion of Nushrat’s birthday, here’s a throwback to the time when she made headlines with her green slit dress.

Nushrat Bharucha walked the red carpet awards at Filmfare Awards 2020 in a green emerald gown. The actor’s gown was complemented with one-shoulder detailing. Her dress also had a slit that was higher than the regular thigh-high slit and highlighted her tattoo.  In this pursuit of “bringing sexy back”, she was not just oozing oomph, but also a lot of confidence. Her makeup was kept subtle and she completed her look with clear-looking stilletos.

Nushrat Bharucha received mixed reactions from fans for her bold look. Bharucha was trolled on social media for her look and many questioned that she wore a ‘revealing’ outfit. However, the actor was unperturbed.

In an interview, Nushrat Bharucha talked about the same and said, “We live in a country where the freedom of speech is ours, so whatever anyone feels, they can put it out there and talk about it. But just like they have that opinion, and it’s rightfully theirs, what I want to wear is my opinion and it’s rightfully mine. I did it for me, not for anyone else… I didn’t think people were going to praise me or it’s going to become the talk of the town for the next two days. I just wore an outfit, attended the function, had fun, came home, had dinner, and slept. I don’t get bothered, I don’t take anything personally. I don’t even go and read the comments under the posts… I put it out there and leave it. Then it’s not my headache”.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Nushrrat Bharuccha was shooting for her next film Ram Setu alongside Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez. For the first time, she will be seen sharing screen space with the Khiladi actor. Ram Setu is helmed by Abhishek Sharma and is produced by Aruna Bhatia and Vikram Malhotra. Meanwhile, apart from Ram Setu, the actress was last seen in Netflix’s Ajeeb Daastaans. She will next be seen in Chhorri, Hurdang, Janhit Mein Jaari, and more that are in the pipeline.
