More so in the rural parts of India, this seems to be the case more often than not, but Yaaradi Nee Mohini challenges this through Muthurasan. To Muthurasan, Vennila is an equal part of his life and he never underestimates her or keeps her away from any part of his life. Although Vennila doesn’t have a strong educational background, he doesn’t let that paint a judgement of her or tell her that she cannot do certain things because she isn’t as smart as him.

Whenever he is in a problem, he tells Vennila about it and trusts her to understand it. Take for example the moment when Chithra tells Muthurasan that Swetha is the parrot that they are so fond of and love. He doesn’t for a second think that Vennila cannot handle it or understand it. Through every step in the plan, he keeps her in the loop, because he truly believes that she is smart enough to understand it. While we’ve known of men who would do the exact opposite of this, Muthurasan truly is a breath of fresh air. The way that he doesn’t let Vennila’s education mask his judgement and treats her as an equal is commendable!
