In the recent Kumkum Bhagya episodes, we saw Monisha getting anxious after RV broke up with her. This led to her taking advice from her dad, Dushyant, who suggested some sinister plans to get rid of Purvi once and for all. Meanwhile, Khushi seems to be regretting her decision to pick Armaan over RV. Kumkum Bhagya Episode Written Update for January 7, 2025
This Kumkum Bhagya episode starts with RV and Purvi standing in close proximity. It looks like RV is about to kiss her on the cheek when he simply blows some air on her face and tousles her hair. RV laughs and says, that he’s an expert at spoiling her mood. Purvi gets irritated and goes back to the bedroom to check her hair. RV follows her to the room and tries to pacify her. He says that he enjoys joking with her. When she expresses her irritation, RV says that she doesn’t need to make an effort to look good as she’s already so beautiful and lovely.
RV praises her beauty and she blushes. He then says that he’s never seen anyone like her because her face reflects her kind and pure soul. He then says he feels blessed to have her in his life. He then says that he also loves fighting with her and tousels her hair even more. He throws a pillow at her and the two engage in a loving pillow fight.
Harleen enters the room and Purvi’s pillow accidentally hits her. She tells RV to talk to his Dad as he needs to discuss something. Purvi apologizes to Harleen and starts tidying the room. Harleen then says that Purvi is the reason why RV, who always prioritized his work, didn’t go to the meeting and came back home to rest. For this, she thanks Purvi and praises her for the positive change she has brought in RV.
RV goes to meet Harman and the latter is confused as to why RV was there to meet him. He says that he could’ve talked at dinner about it, and teasingly says that this time of yours is for someone else. He then gives RV a knowing smile and RV asks him about it. Harman says that he’s really happy that he listened to Purvi and skipped the meeting, prioritizing his health over business for the first time. RV tries to justify his actions and fumbles over his words. Harman teases him and asks him to express his feelings. He asks RV to convey his feelings and live life freely before he starts being scared of his wife.
RV brushes him off and Harleen enters the room. RV tries to complain about Harman to Harleen but fails to do so after he fumbles on his own words. He gets nervous and leaves the room. Harleen asks Harman what happened between them and the latter says he won’t tell her as it’s between father and son this time. He then starts singing and Harleen asks him to go to sleep.
The next morning Vikrant meets RV and tells him how much loss they might have to face as he skipped the meeting. RV says he knows about it and will figure something out. Vikrant says that the meeting was with Wilson, a foreign investor. He says that RV should’ve either canceled or postponed the meeting if he couldn’t go. However, he gave them a commitment and didn’t go whereas everyone including Wilson was present there. He reprimands RV for the unprofessional behavior. RV apologizes and says that he’ll recover double the money that they might have lost. Purvi hears this and looks sad.
Dadaji calls everyone for breakfast and Purvi serves them tea. Everyone praises Purvi’s tea and Harman uses this chance to tease RV by saying that Purvi’s magic is working on everyone. The bell rings and Monisha joins everyone for breakfast. She sits next to RV and Purvi walks away. RV follows her to the kitchen and asks her not to feel bad about what Vikrant said.
Purvi says that she’s not worried about that, but she worries about him. She says that RV prioritizes his work too much and doesn’t care about himself. She says that he might recover the loss and make double profit but who will take care of his health if he doesn’t? RV immediately says that she’s(Purvi) there to take care of him. He then says that Purvi, Harleen, and everyone take care of him. He says that god has made you women very special and that you take care of everyone. He asks her not to worry and walks away. Purvi then asks him what happened in his past that made him this way.
Meanwhile, Armaan asks Khushi where she was the day before. Khushi asks what happened to him as he never asked for her whereabouts before this. He says you can tell me without asking as well. Armaan says that not telling me things is like you’re hiding something from me, which in turn means you’re lying to me. Khushi says there are laws for women’s safety and that you can’t harass me like this.
Armaan starts throwing things around, scaring the daylights out of Khushi. She then lies that she went to the temple yesterday. Armaan asks for prasaad and Khushi says that she distributed it among others. He then warns her not to lie to him or try to teach him about laws. He says everyone thinks Khushi is innocent but he knows her true colors. He says that she can betray him any moment and that’s why he needs to be careful. He then asks Khushi to stay away from RV as he is Purvi’s husband and walks away from the room.
Back at the Malhotra house, RV asks Purvi why she asked about his past. Purvi says that she understands him and she understands that if a human turns stone-hearted there might be a big reason behind him. She says that it’s possibly something that completely broke him. She then asks RV who hurt him, who broke him so much that he went away from himself. She asks why he prioritized making money over living life. She asks RV to tell him about what happened and RV says that he will, someday.
