The recent Kumkum Bhagya episodes have brought in one revelation after the other. Last week, we saw RV finally professing his love to Purvi. Meanwhile, Monisha tried to get Purvi killed by Painter. Khushi finally came out of her delusion and Purvi exposed Monisha for all her evil deeds. Then, Monisha tried to blame Harleen so that she could get out of this scot-free. Kumkum Bhagya Episode Written Update for February 5, 2025
The episode starts with Harleen telling Harman and the family members that she only gave the money to Monisha so that she could pay off Netra. Harleen starts crying and justifying her actions and the family consoles her. However, Monisha tries to spin everything in her favor. She says that if giving money to Netra was her crime then she only gave Netra the money that Harleen asked her to, making Harleen her accomplice.
Purvi says that she knew Monisha would try everything under the sun to get out of this safely. She then calls someone inside the house. Painter steps in and RV recognizes him. Painter accepts that he’s the one who tried to kill Harleen. The family members are shocked to hear this and ask Yug to call the police.
Painter says that he’ll accept whatever punishment he deserves but after telling everyone the truth. Purvi says that she saw him enter the house last night but didn’t think much of it. She then met him today and requested him to reveal everything. He says that he didn’t realize he was harming such a good family and only did it because someone asked him to. RV asks him who that was and Painter reveals that Monisha’s dad asked him to cause Harleen’s accident. Everybody is shocked to hear this and wonders why Dushyant would want to kill Harleen.
Harman then asks Monisha why Dushyant wanted to harm Harleen. Dada ji and Dadi ji question Monisha’s motives. Purvi says that she came too close to finding out Monisha’s truth and that’s why she caused Harleen’s accident to frame her. Painter says that he came to the house last night as well to kill Purvi. When Monisha tries to deny these allegations, Painter says that he has messages from Dushyant asking whether Purvi is dead or alive.
RV sees the text and before he can react, Monisha takes a knife and holds Purvi hostage. Everybody tries to pacify Monisha. They ask her to drop the knife but Monisha doesn’t listen to anyone. She keeps saying how she helped everyone but nobody trusts her, nobody believes her. Even Deepika tries to talk some sense into Monisha but in her rage, she lashes out at Deepika as well.
Monisha asks RV to divorce Purvi and marry her. Everyone berates her and says that she won’t get love or respect by forcing RV like this. RV then jumps in to save Purvi and gets her out of Monisha’s clutches. Dushyant enters the house with his bodyguard and a reporter as RV and Monisha struggle with the knife. He insinuates that Monisha is being tortured by the Malhotras and asks RV to leave her. She rushes to Dushyant and cries that no one is believing her.
Dushyant asks the Malhotras how they could mistreat Monisha knowing who he is and to what extent he can go for her. Purvi wonders why the media is present and immediately texts someone from her phone. Dushyant says that RV tried to kill Monisha. The media starts questioning him and the Malhotras defend RV.
Purvi then defends RV and tells the media reporters everything about Monisha. She says that Monisha hired Netra to trap RV in a fake molestation case. Purvi then tells everyone how she hired Painter to kill Harleen by accident to stop Purvi from revealing the truth. Purvi says that she exposed Monisha and that’s why she was trying to kill Purvi.
Monisha tries to berate Purvi but RV comes to her defence. Harman, Dada ji, and the entire family speak up for Purvi and warn Monisha and Dushyant from speaking anything against her. This agitates Dushyant who threatens to terminate all contracts and business ties with RV. Contrary to what he thought, instead of getting scared, RV severs all business ties with Dushyant. RV then says that whatever he has is all because of his hard work. He then says that whatever Dushyant has is also because of RV’s hard work. This leaves Dushyant both shocked and fuming with anger.
