Enters Kumaresan(Soori), a newly appointed police constable whose moral compass clashes with the orders given by his seniors. After a lot of struggle, Perumal gets arrested but soon escapes from police custody. He then shares some vital information with Kumaresan and some others about the truth behind the train tragedy. That’s where the story ends making you wonder who was actually responsible for the train accident.
Viduthalai Part 2: What to Expect?
Now, Viduthalai Part 2 picks up right where it left off in its prequel. However, the story does travel back and forth in time to tell you more about Makkal Padai’s enigmatic leader, Perumal, also known as Vaathiyaar. In Viduthalai Part 2 you learn more about Perumal’s life. You get to witness his journey from a common man to a rebellion leader. As you watch his evolution from a humble teacher to a revolutionary leader, you understand why he became the one leading the fight for what is right!

The film also focuses on Perumal’s heartwarming relationship with his wife Mahalakshmi(Manju Warrier), showing you a softer side of his character. Viduthalai Part 2 also highlights his initial struggles against systemic oppression, which made him become an outlaw championing social justice. It also brings you back to the present, to the manhunt that is in progress to capture Perumal and stop the uprising of Makkal Padai. Meet the Incredible Ensemble Cast
The film boasts a stellar cast that brings depth and authenticity to the story. Fans of Vijay Sethupathi movies were already waiting for this one, so there’s no surprise that they’ll absolutely love his multifaceted portrayal of Perumal, the leader of Makkal Padai. Meanwhile, Soori also continues to shine as Constable Kumaresan, making this film a treat for his fans as well.
