In an interview, Teja Sajja revealed that he couldn’t rely on a stunt double because of budget constraints and had to do all the action scenes himself. He confessed how worried he was while performing those stunts. Teja even elaborated that in Hanu-Man, they actually shot very dangerous moves, making him literally fear for himself. To do those hard stunts, he had to push all his limits because he believed that without any pain, there would not really be any gain in life.
Director Prasanth Varma was Worried about his Actors
While the Hanu-Man movie was facing heavy competition from Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, the fantasy movie became quite a hit, crossing the Telugu states and reaching all over India.
During the movie shooting, director Prasanth Varma revealed that he was genuinely worried about all his actors and actresses as there were several accidents that they had nearly avoided. Teja Sajja and Amritha Aiyer, the lead actors, could have been severely injured or may have died performing action scenes.
Prasanth describes a scene in the movie where Teja hides behind a rock so he can get away from the tiger. However, it turned out that there was a venomous snake which could have proven dangerous if it had bitten the actor. Luckily, Teja noticed the black cobra and stayed very still until the snake slithered away, and thankfully, no one got hurt.
