Kadugannawa: Oru Yathra Kurippu is the second film or the second story in this anthology film. Directed by Ranjith, the Kadugannawa film on Manorathangal features the Megastar Mammootty leading the narrative. He plays the role of Venugopal, a journalist in his late 50s.

The story starts when Venugopal(Mammootty) gets invited to present a paper at a Seminar for Press Persons from South Asia. This event is organized in Sri Lanka, a place that has always intrigued Venugopal as his father worked in Ceylon(now Sri Lanka) in the 1930s. Solely for this reason, he decides to accept the invitation and go to Sri Lanka.

That’s when we learn about Venugopal’s backstory and how he was often the most neglected child, being the youngest of four brothers. He also recalls his father bringing home a girl called Leela, which led to huge fights between his parents. Eventually, his father left his home with Leela, and now, Venugopal wants to find her.

After the seminar, Venugopal goes to the village of Kadugannawa, accompanied by Ashley, a Sri Lankan government official. Will he find Leela? Will he get his questions answered? Watch Manorathangal online to find out!
