The story starts when Venugopal(Mammootty) gets invited to present a paper at a Seminar for Press Persons from South Asia. This event is organized in Sri Lanka, a place that has always intrigued Venugopal as his father worked in Ceylon(now Sri Lanka) in the 1930s.
