Last week’s Kumkum Bhagya episodes were a blast! It started on a miserable note with Dushyant teaming up with Monisha and devising an evil plan to trap Purvi. His plan was to injure Harleen in an accident and blame it all on Purvi. However, thanks to Purvi’s growing bond with Harleen and RV’s absolute trust in her, her innocence was proven by the end of the week. This has left Monisha infuriated. The last episode ended with Monisha breaking things in her room while Dushyant advised her to think calmly. Kumkum Bhagya Episode Written Update for January 13, 2025
The episode started with Dushyant trying to talk some sense into a frustrated Monisha while Deepika listened along idly. Dushyant asks her to keep her enemies close and strike at the right time. Monisha says that she tried that by taking Khushi’s name but nobody believed her as they all now trust Purvi. Dushyant says that the truth isn’t as simple as it seems. He asks her to stay patient and try to figure out the bigger truth behind RV’s behavior. He says that if she does as he says, RV will be hers in no time.
At the Malhotra mansion, Purvi helps Harleen onto the bed and goes into the kitchen to get water for Harleen to take her medicines. Harman asks Harleen not to go to the temple henceforth and to do all her pujas at home. When she tries to argue he informs her of how badly everyone was affected by the news of her accident – right from Dadaji being admitted to Dadiji feeling worried to RV completely breaking down. RV and Harman ask her to take care of herself the way she takes care of everyone. RV tells her how important she is and Harleen zones out for a moment. She then asks RV about her medicines and he goes to check on Purvi as she was going to get water for her. RV leaves the room and Harman questions Harleen’s behavior.
Purvi is seen talking to Khushi on the phone while getting water for Harleen. She tells Khushi not to worry and that she doesn’t need to come home before Khushi cuts the call. RV enters and asks Purvi for water. He then asks if she’s fine to which Purvi asks why he’s so nice to her. She wonders how she’ll ever be able to live without him. RV asks why she feels that he won’t be with her. He assures her that he’ll always be with her and will never let any trouble get to her. Purvi’s eyes well up and RV asks her to wipe her tears and keep smiling.
At Dushyant’s house, Monisha is shocked to hear his plan. Even Deepika expresses her shock at this plan. She says that fighting with Purvi for RV is a cakewalk for Monisha but with Khushi, things are different. She won’t be able to fight Khushi. Dushyant then says that RV is still in love with Khushi. He says that RV’s anger towards Khushi is a clear indicator that somewhere deep down, RV still loves her. Dushyant says that if someone doesn’t matter to you, their existence doesn’t matter to you, you won’t hate them. Khushi affects RV to this extent only because he still has feelings for her. Meanwhile, Khushi enters the Malhotra mansion calling out to Purvi. RV spots her and the two share an intense look. Back at his house, Dushyant says that soon RV will fall for Khushi once again and neither Purvi nor Monisha will be able to stop him.
Khushi tells RV that she’s here to see her sister and Purvi comes out to greet her. She hugs Khushi and asks RV to greet her as well. RV mutters a formal hello and then walks away. Khushi says that maybe RV didn’t like her coming to his house. Purvi denies this and says that he’s just worried about her. She asks Khushi not to worry about it as RV knows how much Purvi loves her, so he doesn’t have any issues with her.
Harman continues to question Harleen and she denies having anything to say. Eventually, Harleen confesses that the accident wasn’t a normal accident but a pre-planned attack. Harman is absolutely shocked to hear this and asks her to elaborate. Harleen says that when she was out of the temple, she was walking on the sidewalk and not in the middle of the road. Even then, when she thought that the car was speeding at her she moved aside. She then said that despite her giving way for the car, it turned as if aiming directly at her and then crashed into her. Harman is devastated to hear this as Harleen narrates her ordeal through tears.
RV overhears this conversation. Harleen describes her attackers and RV is immediately reminded of the two men that he argued with before knowing about Harleen’s accident. RV then enters the room and acts as if he didn’t hear a thing. Harman and Harleen also act as if this conversation never happened. RV gives Harleen the water and walks out of the room after telling her to take her medicines. Harman then says that he needs to file a complaint at the police station about this attempted murder. Harleen tells him to give her a day to rest and that she’ll file a complaint the next day.
Meanwhile, Dushyant tells Monisha that they need to go to the police station and get Netra on their side. He says that they need to change the narrative completely. They plan to make Netra believe that Purvi is going to trap her and they are here to save her. Back at the Malhotra house, RV asks Yug about his friend who is also a sketch artist as he needs to get a sketch of those two goons. Yug asks him to let that matter go, and RV says that they’re the same men responsible for Harleen’s accident. Yug calls his friend and Diya almost overhears them. RV stops Yug in time and says that he suspects Khushi to be the one behind Harleen’s accident.
Meanwhile, Khushi tells Purvi that this is all a well-planned attack. She asks Purvi to think who that could be and after some thought her mind goes to Monisha. Khushi wonders if Monisha can stoop that low. Purvi says that’s what she wanted to find out via Netra. She tells Khushi about Monisha’s involvement with Netra.
RV describes the two goons and Yug’s friend Kartik draws their sketches. By the end of the episode, he’s done describing the men and the artist says he’s ready to show the sketch.
