The recent Kumkum Bhagya episodes finally gave us some hope that Purvi might finally expose Monisha. However, as usual, Monisha flips the entire game in her favor and traps Purvi in the room with the intention of killing her. Meanwhile, Khushi feels that RV still loves her. Kumkum Bhagya Episode Written Update for January 22, 2025
The episode starts with Monisha telling Purvi that she paid Netra INR 50 Lakhs to switch teams and the latter did. Netra took the money and ran away, leaving Purvi to fend for herself. Monisha says that Purvi knows too much and the only way to deal with this situation is to kill Purvi. She then says that she’ll burn Purvi alive and blame it all on Netra as the family thinks Monisha is also abducted by Netra.
Meanwhile, RV follows Jasbir as he tries to run away. Jasbir falls and RV attacks him. They engage in a fight. Jasbir pushes RV and tries to escape once again, when they try to chase him, Jasbir fires the gun but accidentally hits the policewoman who was with RV and others. While everyone helps the woman, Khushi chases after Jasbir.
At the Malhotra house, Monisha throws kerosene around Purvi and narrates how she plans to kill her. She says that she’ll celebrate Lohri by burning Purvi and getting her life back. She then kickstarts her drama by shouting for help. Monisha acts as if she’s being attacked by Netra and the family members run to their rescue.
Khushi catches upto Jasbir and argues with him. Jasbir then threatens to attack Khushi. Looking at Khushi’s arrogance, he says that RV saves Purvi, who will save you? Khushi says that RV will save her. Jasbir says he’ll save his love, Purvi, why will he save you? Then, she says that he will save his love, he will save Khushi. RV and Diya arrive there, and Jasbir takes Khushi at gunpoint. Jasbir threatens to attack Khushi and she keeps saying that RV will save her. In a shocking turn of events, Khushi herself asks Jasbir to push her into the fire and use that distraction to run away.
Jasbir does as he’s told and pushes Khushi into the Lohri bonfire. RV saves her and Khushi professes her love. She says that RV always saves her and that she loves RV. RV is shocked to hear this and leaves suddenly, recalling all his memories with Khushi, both good and bad. Diya checks on Khushi and both of them walk towards RV.
Vaishali witnesses all of this and starts panicking. She bumps into Jaswant and narrates the entire incident to him. She tells him how Khushi purposely instigated Jasbir to attack her so that she could see if RV would risk his own life to save her. And Khushi’s assumptions came true as RV jumped in to save her without a second thought. Vaishali worries that he might still have feelings for Khushi and that it’ll be really bad for Purvi and the entire family. Vaishali says that she would rather choose Purvi for RV over Khushi.
In the home, Monisha continues her drama. She acts as if Netra is acting her and has tied up Purvi. She then tells Purvi that after her death, Monisha will get married to RV. Purvi tries to fight back but is unable to do so. Monisha asks her to think of her loved ones a last time before she kills her.
