The Broken News Season 2 Plot
At its core, The Broken News is a story that focuses on the clash of ethics between two drastically opposite news agencies – Awaaz Bharati and Josh 24/7. Awaaz Bharati is led by the unbiased, ethical news editor Amina Qureshi(Sonali Bendre) with a young dynamic journalist, Radha Bhargava(Shriya Pilgaonkar) by her side. Whereas, Josh 24/7 is led by the TRP-driven, ruthless news editor Dipankar Sanyal(Jaideep Ahlawat).
Written by Sambit Mishra and directed by Vinay Waikul, the series picks up right where it ended in season 1 – with Radha Bhargava being arrested for exposing Operation Umbrella. A helpless Amina Qureshi is seen trying her best to get Radha out of jail. Meanwhile, Dipankar Sanyal does everything possible to stay in power. However, tables turn when a vengeful Radha gets out on bail, vowing to destroy Dipankar Sanyal. An epic clash between the two is what awaits the viewers in The Broken News 2.
