Anjani tells Maruti that when Lord Indra insulted Rishi Durvasa’s gift, he cursed the deities to be powerless and that they will lose their wealth. When the deities repent, Rishi Durvasa shows them a way to undo the curse. Further, Anjani begins with the story of Lord Shiva’s Veerbhadra avatar.
