The Inspiring Plot of The Son of God Movie    

Son of God, a biopic, begins with The only surviving disciple of Jesus Christ, John, who lives in isolation as a hermit close to the ocean where he recounts his experiences with Jesus. Jesus was born to Joseph, the husband of Mary (played by Amber Rose Revah), a virgin, in Bethlehem. Jesus is proclaimed the coming King by the three wise men who visit him.

Thirty years later, Jesus Christ moved to Galilee with Mary Magdalene and started gathering followers, James, his brother John, Peter, and Matthew. These people eventually end up becoming his disciples. Jesus gains a lot of followers via his teachings and countless miracles, and they start to refer to him as the Messiah. He also captures the interest of Jewish religious authorities known as Pharisees.

The Pharisees assert that by pardoning sins, a task only God can do, Jesus is profaning God. In his reply, Jesus claims to be the son of God.

The disciples are instructed by Jesus to go to Jerusalem in preparation for the impending Passover celebration. A large group of his followers welcome him into the town on the top of a donkey and put down palm fronds in his way. The leader of the Pharisees, Caiaphas, worries that Jesus' presence in Jerusalem will inflame his followers even more, who are already on the verge of revolting against the cruel Romans, led by Pontius Pilate and that this will cause more people to die.

The Pharisees conclude that Jesus must be stopped because they see this as a plot to destroy the temple. Jesus warns his disciples that this will be their final meal together the night before Passover and predicts that one of those will betray him.

Eventually, in the Garden of Gethsemane, Judas kisses Jesus in guilt, confirming his betrayal and identifying Jesus to the Pharisees. Caiaphas conducts a quick trial against the wishes of other priests during the late hours of the night in private, which is against Jewish law, out of concern that the temple would be shut down because of an open trial before Passover. The Pharisees only need to hear this to accuse Jesus of blasphemy.

To avoid a riot caused by the Pharisees killing Jesus on Passover, Caiaphas hands him up to the Romans. Jesus suffers for several excruciating hours as John, Mary, and Magdalene look on in despair. Eventually, he is taken down from the cross and laid in a tomb covered with a big rock. He is shown to have been banished to an island where he must remain alone till he passes away.
