Balidaan: An Ultimate Thriller 

Balidaan is a 1985 Hindi classic film, focusing on a police officer and his endeavors to suppress a criminal group while protecting his loved ones. With its action and thrilling moments, this thriller film becomes a fan-favorite. 

The plot of Balidaan revolves around a loyal and hardworking police officer Vijay (played by Jeetendra) and his family. A group of bandits has been wreaking a lot of havoc, and Vijay was given that case to solve. Little did they know how extreme measures the bandits were willing to take not to get caught. This story of a good policeman fighting some evil bandits to serve everyone justice has a lot of iconic yet entertaining moments.

S.A. Chandra Shekaran is Balidaan’s Director and the dialogue for this story is written by Kader Khan. Balidaan Cast consists of Jeetendra playing the role of Inspector Vijay. Sridevi played the role of Uma, the lover of Vijay. Shammi Kapoor played Prem Kishan. Shakti Kapoor played the role of Johnny ’Chottey’.

Plot of Balidaan

A hardworking police officer Vijay was a well-decorated and reputed person in his field. One day he meets Uma (played by Sridevi), and both fall in love with each other quite soon. Uma’s father was against their marriage, but they even managed to convince him for their marriage by giving him threats such as killing themselves. After some time, they married and started to live a happy wedding life. Soon after, Uma gave birth to their girl child, and they named her Pinky. 

Some time has passed since then and the three of them were living a happy family life. That’s until Vijay was assigned a case about some mischievous bandits.
The bandits were a huge threat to society and attempted a lot of severe crimes. The only eyewitness to their crimes was a ten-year-old boy.

Ranga was a hotel manager arrested by Vijay during his investigation, but due to lack of evidence, he was freed with the help of his lawyer advocate Ghaswala. Ranga’s men killed the young boy to remove any evidence about them. This enrages Vijay and he kills Ranga which results in his suspension from the police. Soon after Ranga’s men kidnapped both his wife and daughter and gave threats to Vijay. Vijay must save his family in time, or it will be too late. The whole story revolves around Vijay and his endeavors to retrieve his family from the bandits.
