The movie has five different chapters: The Seven Sisters (North-east), An Unsettling Peace (New Delhi), Bleed India with Thousand Cuts (Uri, Jammu Kashmir), Naya Hindustan (New India), and The strike (POK, Pakistan). A total of nineteen soldiers were attacked and killed. Four armed militants did the attack on September 18th, 2016, at the brigade headquarters in Uri, Jammu & Kashmir. The Ministry decided to punish the terrorist. The then national security adviser, Govind Bharadwaj (played by Paresh Rawal), puts up the notion of a surgical strike. Following the prime minister, they decided on a ten-day strike. Vihaan leaves his job and travels to Udhampur, the Northern Command base. Then, he requests to be included in the operation, and Chief of the Army Staff General Arjun Singh Rajawat (played by Shishir Singh) consents. He makes his team, and finally, after a lot of strategic planning, the team leaves for a surgical strike on September 28th.
