Rajput- The golden movie of the olden era 

This Hindi movie is a treat to watch with powerful actors with superficial acting skills. Rajput, an action film has a storyline that binds you throughout the movie with its every strand of devotion, love, pride, and sacrifice. A powerful bond we get to see between Dharmendra and Hema Malini on the screen create a masterpiece when combined with exceptional acting, dialogues, and melodies.

In Rajput, the character of Janki and Manu played by Hema Malini Dharmendra respectively, fall in love when their lives change dramatically on Janki's father deciding to marry her off to Dhirendra, played by Rajesh Khanna. The story gets followed by a series of unfortunate events.

Rajput Movie Plot

The story begins when Vipin Kumar, an independent ruler of a minor Kingdom, refuses to drop out of his position when his Kingdom is about to be seized. He uses his strength to compare people to pay tax to him. When people protest against him one of the police persons involved is inspector Dhirendra Singh.

The parents of Dhirendra Singh arrange his marriage with a girl of that small village name Janki who is supposedly the daughter of the dangerous father's childhood friend. Janki is certainly against this marriage as she is in love with Manu. The story continues when she unwillingly marriage Dhirendra but tries to escape her husband's home and gets kidnapped by Jaipal Singh's nephew who tries to sexually assault her.

She somehow manages to escape from their reach and return to Dhirendra's house but he misunderstands her of being raped and refuses to touch her. The child she is bearing is however a Manupratap scientist to leave Dhirendra's life. 

The story further twists and turns with other characters and Dhirendra learning about the real father of the child. However, the story ends on a bittersweet note when Manupratap insists Dhirendra to be the father of janki's son and dies in his arms. Dhirendra after the death of Manupratap lets the child light his funeral and later gets United with Janki.

The movie is a literal delight to the eyes with exceptional multi starrers and their proficient acting skills that holds you from the beginning to the end. Films like Rajput. Every character that is in the movie has a storyline with a subtle presence and significance.

The characters are well-written and enacted beautifully by the actors as if they were written especially for them.
