Why do we think that ambition and love cannot go hand in hand? This story of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya shows how it’s important to value those who love you. Nitya and Neel know each other since childhood and have been in a relationship for a very long time now. Neel is so smitten by her that he followed Nitya all the way to Mumbai and joined the same college as hers. Nitya loves Neel but her approach towards love is very practical. They both decide to live in together so that Nitya can get some time for herself unlike the situation at the girl’s hostel. Nitya is extremely ambitious, driven and competitive whereas Neel is not very keen on the career front and devotes maximum time to her. Nitya works on her projects with Abhishek, her classmate and project partner with whom she has a great working equation. Neel envies Nitya’s chemistry with Abhishek and isn’t very fond of him, in fact he is jealous that she spends so much time with him. Neel is ready to settle down with Nitya and wants to marry her but she is no mood for it as she wants to devote her attention in her career. Neel finally musters courage and decides to propose Nitya, he ensures that the parents are privy to this through video chat. Nitya gets stuck in a Catch 22 situation and doesn’t know how to react. She accepts his proposal out of pressure but questions him later when they are alone and turns his proposal down. Neel is disappointed and heartbroken whereas Nitya tries to put up a bold face and completely focusses on her college presentations. She is equally heartbroken and finds a confidante in Abhishek but it breaks Neel to see her growing closeness to Abhishek. Will Nitya realize Neel’s significance in her life or has she already moved on and left the past behind her?
