The villagers of Manikpur arrive outside Chandra’s house and claim to support Mahesh and Dugga. Further, the villagers intend to revolt against Martin, but Chandra tries to calm them down. Later, Martin’s informer tells him about the villagers’ visit to Chandra’s house. Dugga tells Rani that the villagers will have to cultivate indigo until they repay Martin’s loans. Anandamoyee gets agitated on seeing Rani handing over her jewellery to Dugga so that the villagers can repay Martin’s loans.
