The narrative, which takes place in the 16th century, centers on Akbar, who declares that the monarchy would not always go to the firstborn son. Instead, Akbar informs his sons that he would consider merit while making his decision. Each of the three is very distinct from the others. While Prince Murad thinks the throne is entirely his, Prince Salim is more focused on the arts and the royal lifestyle than the role of the emperor. Prince Daniyal, on the other hand, is thought to be pure and unselfish, yet this is untrue.
His counselors alert Akbar about the conflict between his sons. With the involvement of Anarkali, the fight for succession gets more agitated. Akbar warns Anarkali to stick to her status as she and Salim become more acquainted. Akbar also cautions them all, saying that anybody who wants to become king must forfeit their happiness in order to do so.
With the private lives and internal plotting taken on in the palace, the series suggests that this account of the Mughal dynasty will have lots of power struggles. The brothers must decide whether the price of being king is worth their own pleasure.
