Rani tells Thakumaa that Shoroju was sacrificing her son because Sukumari had threatened to oust her if she didn’t produce a healthy male child. Kamalkrishna tells Pritram that he will never allow Shoroju and her son to come back to Marh mansion. Chandra wants Rani to be educated so that she can help the Marh family business. Rani, Mejo Khuri and Jogmaya give their jewels to Chandra for his banking initiative. Rani gives birth to two more daughters and hopes that her fourth child is a son.
