In India they say, Marriage is not just the union of two individuals, but two families. Only if these two families get along, can the bride and groom lead a happy, peaceful life. Our Zee TV shows represent various kinds of families, some that are really accepting of their son/daughter-in-law, while some that are adamant about making everyone’s lives hell. Within all of these, luckily, we’re also blessed with some interesting equations between the samdhis and samdhans of the Zee TV shows. Here’s a list of our favourites:
Manoj/Madhura and Chandrani (Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti)
For a long time, the story of Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti only revolved around Kuldeep-Shubhra and their worsening relationship. But with Shubhra (Neha Marda) shifting to Pune, now we also get to meet her parents. And we must say, Shubhra’s father Manoj (Himanshu Gokani) is even better than what we would’ve imagined. He constantly keeps taunting and passing sarcastic comments at Kuldeep (Siddhaanth Vir Surryavanshi) and Chandrani (Geeta Agarwal Sharma). Although Chandrani usually ignores him, she’s also supported by her samdhan Madhura (Poornima Bhave Talwalkar). In fact, the fun banters between these three are the current highlight of the show.

Sarla and Rakhi (Kundali Bhagya)
Sarla (Supriya Shukla) and Rakhi (Anisha Hinduja) have shared a bond of mutual respect and love even before Karan (Dheeraj Dhoopar) and Preeta (Shraddha Arya) got married in Kundali Bhagya. And it continues to remain the same even now. Although both the ladies have had misunderstandings about each other and their kids, at the end of the day, they always reconcile and support each other. Another person worth mentioning in this equation is Mahesh Luthra (Naveen Saini), who is always by Preeta’s side, and thus by default, by Sarla’s side as well.
Sanjay and Ramadheer (Apna Time Bhi Aayega)
This was the most unexpected Samdhis in the Zee TV shows. As Apna Time Bhi Aayega took an unexpected turn with Rani (Megha Ray) and Veer (Fahman Khan) getting married Sanjay Singh Rajawat (Yajuvendra Singh) became the samdhi of his driver Ramadheer (Pratish Vora). Although initially, the whole Royal family was against the marriage, everyone except Rajeshwari (Vivana Singh) have come around now. In fact, Sanjay has shown great support towards Ramadheer when the latter was in jail, and he extended the same support to him when Rani was kidnapped as well.
Madhav and Anupriya (Tujhse Hai Raabta)
It is unfortunate that Madhav (Milind Pathak) isn’t a part of Tujhse Hai Raabta anymore. His equation with Anupriya (Poorva Gokhale) was something that added to the appeal of the show. When Madhav was introduced to the show not just Malhar (Sehban Azim) and Kalyani (Reem Shaikh) but everyone in the Rane and Deshmukh family rejoiced. Madhav and Anupriya shared a cordial relationship, Anupriya was his Samdhan as well as his vahini as she married Sarthak. Although Madhav is not a part of the show anymore, it will be fun to see Anupriya’s equation with his wife Asawari (Amita Choksi).

Sarita and Baljeet Dadi (Kumkum Bhagya)
Right from the inception of Kumkum Bhagya, the show had a great samdhan jodi with Sarla (Supriya Shukla) and Daljeet Dadi (Daljeet Soundh). Although they’re not a part of the show anymore, the new Jodi of Sarita (Roopa Divetia) and Baljeet Dadi (Farida Dadi) is also one that we love. Even if Sarita isn’t Pragya’s (Sriti Jha) mother, she’s been her mother-figure ever since she gave her refuge. Both Baljeet Dadi and Sarita are immensely protective of their kids and thus often end up being a part of their plans to get everyone out of trouble.
