After Aruna Bhatia’s Death, Akshay Kumar Posts A Picture With His Mom On His 54th Birthday; ‘Mom Is Singing Happy Birthday’

A day before his birthday, Akshay Kumar felt an ‘unbearable pain’ as his mother Aruna Bhatia left her for heavenly abode. On September 8 , Akshay’s mother breathed her last. The star mom had been keeping unwell for the last few days. A few days before her demise, the Good Newz actor had returned to India from the UK to be by his ailing mother’s side. Akki had rushed back to India after Aruna was admitted to Hiranandani Hospital’s ICU ward. Along with Akshay Kumar, filmmaker Anand L Rai too lost his mother on the same day.
September 9 marks Akshay Kumar’s birthday and little did the actor know that he had to celebrate this his 54th birthday this way. The Kesari actor took to his Instagram handle and penned a heartfelt note on his birthday. He shared an adorable picture with his mother and wrote alongside, “Would have never liked it this way but am sure mom is singing Happy Birthday to me from right up there! Thanks to each one of you for your condolences and wishes alike. Life goes on.” In the same tweet, the actor also thanked his fans for pouring in condolences and wishes for the actor.
Earlier announcing the departure of his mother, Akshay had posted on Instagram, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”
A few pictures of Akshay Kumar from Aruna Bhatia’s funeral surfaced on the Internet and the actor looked distraught. After completing the last rites of his mother, the actor was seen attending filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s mother’s funeral too.
Soon after Akshay announced the departure of her mother, his industry friends and colleagues took to social media to send strength and prayers to the grieving family.
