1. Aashiq faces reality

Asif Ali plays the role of Aashiq in the movie Avarude Raavukal, who is a struggling actor looking for opportunities in film. Aashiq impresses the villager with his skills and leaves for the city in high spirits. At his first movie set, Aashiq faces the harsh realities of life as he is underappreciated and made to perform in a clown costume. We all feel for Aashiq as Asif Ali’s brilliant portrayal of the character makes it relatable for all of us. Aashiq realises that he is not fit for the job and leaves the set teary-eyed.

2. The Make-over

Avarude Raavukal shows us Aashiq’s transformation into a movie star and it begins with his makeover. As advised by his friend Vinod who works as a junior artiste in films, Aashiq spends some time in a salon to look like movie actors. Vinod also teaches him modern mannerisms so that he can fit in with the other youngsters. Asif Ali’s acting eases this transition on screen making it a heart-warming experience for the audience.

3. Manoj recognises Aashiq’s talent

Aashiq figures out from Scobo that he is not trying enough for what he wants and decides to join an acting school. His teacher Manoj gives him an exercise which is to find someone unique and take up their mannerisms. Aashiq’s observations give Manoj a unique experience and he is quick to recognise the young man’s talent.

4. Aashiq impresses filmmakers

Aashiq is quite a relatable character for actor Asif Ali as he has also struggled a lot before making it big in movies. The final acting exercise for Aashiq in Avarude Raavukal is to present a piece in front of affluent filmmakers. Aashiq presents his own life experience to the filmmakers. Impressed by his skills, the filmmakers decide to take him in for a movie. Asif Ali’s character becomes inspirational here as Aashiq tells us how it is important to understand yourself before being what you want to be.
