Bharti Singh And Husband Harsh Limbachiyaa’s Bail Application To Be Heard Today

Comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa are scheduled to hear their bail application today in a special court in connection with their drug possession case. The two television stars were arrested on Saturday after a detained peddler disclosed their names during his interrogation on Friday. The couple was sent to 14-days judicial custody by a magistrate on Sunday.

Singh and Limbachiyaa’s shared office in Versova and residence in Andheri west were raided by the NCB on Saturday, where 86.5 grams of ganja was recovered. In a statement by the agency, both Bharti and Harsh reportedly agreed to consuming the illegal substance. They have been charged under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for consumption and possession of the banned drug.

While the popular female comedian was questioned for more than three hours during her interrogation, her husband underwent a grilling session by the officials that exceeded 13 hours. Legal experts believe that the duo may be able to get bail in this case as they were not peddling or selling drugs but only using it for personal consumption. Further, the amount recovered is also not that large for an extended arrest period.

However, the NCB has been on a mission to expose the Bollywood drug cartel ever since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Owing to this, the agency could contest the bail with their lawyer to probe Limbachiyaa and his wife to get deeper into the narcotics nexus.
