Film Producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s Wife Arrested By NCB

Bollywood filmmaker Firoz Nadiadwala’s wife was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) yesterday after a raid in the couple’s Mumbai residence. Basis information shared by some of the detained peddlers from the Sushant Singh Rajput case interrogation, a home-search was conducted by the agency and illegal drugs were found. Nadiadwala’s wife Shabana Saeed was present in the house.

She was summoned by the officials for questioning and apprehended the same day. Seven grams of weed, 74 grams of hashish, 95 grams of MDMA and 3.58 lakh rupees cash was retrieved by the interrogating personnel. The producer also faces arrest and has already been asked by the NCB to show up for the probe.

The Indian film industry has been in the anti-drug central body’s radar ever since a narcotics angle was established during the death of Sushant. His partner and actress Rhea Chakraborty spent a month in jail after her Bandra home was raided and some illegal substances were confiscated. While she managed to secure bail, her brother Showik is still in jail as he is considered as an active peddler by the authorities.
