An FIR has been filed against Rajat Bedi for hitting a man with his car recently. A 39-year-old resident of Mumbai’s D N Nagar was hit by the Koi Mil Gaya actor’s car while returning from work on Monday. He is reportedly in critical condition after the accident. As the crucial incident occurred, Rajat quickly rushed the victim to Cooper Hospital and promised his family to help in every way he can without worrying about anything. Rajat left igniting this hope and never saw his way back to the hospital.
If Mid-Day reports are to be believed, an FIR is filed at DN Nagar police station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act. There has been no arrest made yet and the victim has suffered multiple head injuries and is in the ICU making every breath count on oxygen support. He urgently needs blood this incident occurred around 6:30 pm.
His wife revealed to Hindustan Times, “The incident occurred at 6.30 pm when my husband was returning from work and he was drunk. Actor Rajat Bedi, who was driving his car with the license number MH 02 CD 4809, hit my husband when he was crossing the road. He fell, sustaining injuries to the back of his head.” The couple reportedly has two children and the family lives in a slum area at D N Nagar. The wife is also stern in getting Bedi arrested and pay for it if anything happens to her husband.
She also shared that her husband was drunk when this incident occurred. Bedi told the victim’s wife that his husband suddenly came in front of his car while he was driving and that’s how it all happened.
Rajat is famous for playing the antagonist, Raj Saxena, in Koi Mil Gaya, starring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta in the lead roles. He also played a negative role in Salman Khan and Govinda-starrer Partner. His other films include Rakht, Aksar, and Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee. Bedi was the first winner from Punjab in Gladrags Manhunt Contest India. He represented India at Manhunt International 1994 held in Greece and was awarded 4th Runner Up in the finale.
