This year’s Bollywood debutants include several television stars, youngsters from the filmy families as well as those who do not have any prior relations in the industry. The former miss world Manushi Chhillar is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite actor Akshay Kumar in the upcoming period drama Prithviraj. Sunil Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty will also make his debut with the remake of the Telugu film RX100 titled Tadap. Directed by Milan Luthria, the film will also star actress Tara Sutaria.
Singer Shirley Setia will be seen in Kabir Khan’s film Nikamma which also stars actress Bhagyashree’s son Abhimanyu Dassani. Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy star Shalini Pandey is also all set to step into Bollywood opposite actor Ranvir Singh in the film Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
Recently, Karan Johar confirmed that debutante Lakshya will be starring in the second instalment of the film Dostana. Reportedly, the newbie has no Bollywood backing and had to go through a ‘legitimate auditioning process’ to bag a role in Dostana 2.
Television actress Krystle D’Souza will make her Bollywood debut in the psychological suspense Chehre which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Emran Hashmi. The film is directed by Rumi Jaffery. Actress Sharvari Wagh is all set to debut in Bollywood with the film Bunty Aur Babli 2 alongside actors Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Siddharth Chaturvedi.
Mithun Chakraborty’s youngest son Namashi Chakraborty is all geared up to make his big-screen debut opposite newbie Amrin Qureshi in Rajkumar Santoshi’s film Bad Boy. The film is produced by Amrin’s father Sajid Qureshi. Television star Shweta Tiwari’s daughter Palak Tiwari will be soon seen in a horror thriller franchise based on true events in Gurugram titled Rosie. Her film is directed by Vishal Ranjan Mishra.
