Kartik Aaryan Ousted From Dostana 2, Following Creative Differences With Karan Johar?

Dostana 2, the sequel to the 2008 rom-com, Dostana, has been under works for quite some time. Produced by Karan Johar, the film is reported to star Janhvi Kapoor, along with a newcomer, Laksh Lalwani, in the lead roles. The film was going to star Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, but very recently, he was taken off the project. Read on to know more about it.

While the film Dostana 2 is under production, its premise is still unknown. One of the recent reports of the film stated that the film’s story might be changing while it is still being made had gotten a lot of media attention. This news was soon followed by the news of actor Kartik Aaryan and producer Karan Johar having creative differences. Now, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor has been taken off the project, and been blacklisted by Karan Johar’s banner, Dharma Productions.

Reports say that Dharma Productions did so because Kartik Aaryan kept delaying the shoot and that Karan Johar was upset with him for completing the shoot of his upcoming Netflix release, Dhamaka, before Dostana 2. Reports also say that Kartik and Janhvi Kapoor also had had a fallout before the former was asked to leave the project.

This whole event has also gotten actress Kangana Ranaut upset, and she has once again targeted Karan Johar for mistreating outsiders. In her Tweet about the incident, she compared the scenario to the one with Sushant Singh Rajput, and the mistreatment that is being done with ‘the outsiders’ in the industry.
