Manmarziyaan is a romantic drama directed by Anurag Kashyap and written by Kanika Dhillon while the music of the film was given by Amit Trivedi. The cast of the film includes Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles. It explores the streets of Amritsar and gives the audience a view of the authentic and traditional lifestyle of people in Amritsar.

Happy Bhag Jayegi is a 2016 romantic comedy film written and directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film is produced by Aanand L. Rai and Krishika Lulla. The film features Diana Penty, playing the role of the eponymous character and a free-spirited bride-to-be from Amritsar who runs away from her wedding and inadvertently arrives in Lahore, Pakistan. While the movie was predominantly based in Lahore, there were some stills from Amritsar that made us fall in love with the city.
